Item creation

Item creation

The Warsmith (Maestro) is the only class in the game that can craft equipment. Other classes have the skill Create Common Item and can craft only some supplies and ornaments. The Warsmith (Maestro) can craft items both for themselves and for others, using a special interface — the Workshop.

Item creation by Dwarves

Crafting items by dwarves has some peculiarities.

Not all recipes have a 100% chance of creating the item. For B-grade equipment there are recipes with a 100% success chance and with a 60% success chance (70% for accessories). For A-grade equipment and higher there are only recipes with a 60% success chance (70% for accessories). Crafting items from 60% recipes requires fewer resources, and you always need to be ready for failures.

Sometimes while crafting equipment, chaos envelops the item and gives it special properties. Creating rare items is possible only for equipment of grade B and higher (a rare upper armor piece or full-body armor can't be crafted).

When crafting items of grades D and C, there's a small chance to create two items at once from one set of resources.

Item creation by other classes

The skill Create Common Item Create Common Item doesn't need to be learned. The character gets the skill automatically on reaching the corresponding level. With this skill characters can create various elixirs and potions, tattoo dyes, ornaments and elemental crystals. Recipes for common crafting are sold in Clan Halls (for ornaments), can be obtained by fishing, or can be bought from NPCs. Ingredients for making ornaments are mostly obtained by fishing.

What do you need to create an item?

Each crafting attempt requires a certain amount of the character's MP; how much MP is needed is stated in the recipe.

  1. Resources. To create items you'll need resources and key materials. They can be obtained by killing monsters, completing quests, or through farming. The Bounty Hunter (Fortune Seeker) can obtain resources with the skills Spoil Spoil and Sweeper Sweeper. Key materials usually have a name similar to the finished item's name.
  2. Crystals and Gemstones. Gemstones of grades D, C and B are sold in Shops, and grades A and S by the Merchant of Mammon. Crystals are obtained by crystallizing items or from failed enchanting.

Private workshop

Private workshop

With enough popular recipes, characters can open a Private Workshop and offer item crafting services to other characters for a fee. Private workshops differ from private stores by their orange sign. In private workshop mode, MP is spent on crafting items just as when the character crafts for themselves, and rare items and two items from one resource set can also be created. The maximum number of recipes you can list in a Private Workshop is 20. To open a private workshop, use the actions window and choose File:Common Manufacture.jpg — common private workshop, File:Dwarven Manufacture.jpg — dwarven private workshop, or the commands /dwarvenmanufacture — to open the Dwarven Private Workshop and /generalmanufacture — to open the common Private Workshop.

How to use a Private Workshop
  1. When you enter a private workshop, you see a list of available recipes, each showing its success chance and the cost of creating the item.
  2. Double-click the icon of the item you need and the recipe will open.
  3. Using the button in the upper right corner, you can view the recipe's composition as a tree.
  4. Use the "Create" button to try to create the item and pay the set price.
