Lineage 2 Interlude tattoos
Every character in Lineage 2 has a set of base stats. There are 6 base stats in total. Base stats depend on the race and class of the character. They do not grow with the character level, but they can be changed with various items or tattoos.
Tattoos affect the base stats of a character. In every town there is a Tattoo Artist NPC (Symbol Maker) who can apply or remove a tattoo. Applying and removing tattoos is a paid service. To apply a tattoo you need 10 identical bottles of tattoo dye. When a tattoo is removed, the character gets back 5 identical bottles of dye.

What are dyes?
Dyes are the items used to make tattoos. Tattoos have + and — changes to base stats. There are regular dyes and new dyes. Regular dyes can be used by characters with the first profession. New dyes can only be used by characters with the second profession.
How do I get a tattoo?
Characters of level 20 and above have a special tattoo slot in the inventory. Characters who have not finished the first profession quest cannot apply tattoos. After completing the profession change quest, characters can apply 2 tattoos. After the second profession change, characters can apply 3 tattoos. After getting the second profession, all tattoos applied before stop working.
To get a tattoo, talk to the Tattoo Artist. Bring 10 dyes of the right type and a small fee for applying it.
Tattoos cannot raise a base stat by more than +5. That is, 2 applied tattoos +3 and +4 will still give a bonus of +5, not +7. Tattoos can lower base stats without limit, but a stat never drops to 0. The maximum "-" is -18, but if the base stat was 16, it will become 1.
